Prof. Warue is a PhD holder in Business Administration and Management (Banking & Finance), Masters of Business Administration (MBA) banking and finance option, Masters in Banking and Finance with focus in Microfinance (MBF), Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) and Diploma in Business Education. She is a teacher by profession and a trainer of trainers (TOT).
Prof. Warue is a full time lecturer with Africa International University (AIU) and currently Dean School of Business & & Economics of AIU. As a part time lecturer she has lectured in over five (5) different universities in areas relating to Business and Management including Accounting, Finance, Microfinance and Research methods. She supervises and externally examines research thesis for masters and PhD students. Prof Warue held a position of coordinating post graduate studies of Kenya Methodist University for two years (2013-2014). She has also successfully organized over 8 academic colloquial workshops attended by doctoral students, Doctors and Professors from different universities sponsored by Doctoral Association of Eastern Africa (DAEA). At AIU she champions in Youth Mentorship activities including talks and training of mentors.
Prof. Warue is widely published in refereed Journals and written a textbook “Principles and Practices of Microfinance in Kenya, and three policy related books for education sector namely “Guidelines On Doctoral Research and Supervision”; “A Kenyan Jual Kali Manual” for informal sector and “The Rural Universities: DAEA’s Case for rural universities in Kenya”. Also, she has presented many academic papers in different International Conferences.
Prof Warue is a blind peer reviewer of Journal of Global Economics, Management and Business Research and British Journal of Economics, Management &Trade. Also she is a registered member of Doctoral Association of Eastern Africa (DAEA) and African Econometric Society. She has closely worked with Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and participated broadly in curriculum development for universities and colleges.
